When TIME named Elon Musk as its 2021 Person of the Year, it referred to him as someone who “aspires to save our planet... [a] clown, genius, edgelord, visionary, industrialist, showman, cad; a madcap hybrid of Thomas Edison, P.T. Barnum, Andrew Carnegie and Watchmen’s Doctor Manhattan.”
Well, you know there’s something seriously, irredeemably, and profoundly broken when
the popularly-elected government of a society that prides itself on it’s commitment to “democratic governance” has to first get permission from an unelected economic parasite to implement policy…
Funny, I thought the Farrow piece was of a kind with AI doomsaying/marketing: In order to show how dangerous and unreliable Musk is, Farrow ended up parroting some of the dumber myths about Musk's "intelligence" and "focus," as if the problem is that he's just too smart and too far ahead to be trusted. The problem is that he's a fucking buffoon!
It is right and moral to deadname Twitter until Elon Musk accepts his trans daughter (which is probably indistinguishable from “never”).
This was a really good piece until you got into the warmongering pro-NATO pro-Ukraine stuff at the end. Musk departing from the Ukraine must not compromise on anything ever consensus that you seem to follow is one of the only good things about him
No mention of Bill Gates in this?
Also obviously both the Canadian and Hawaiian wildfires were caused by Elon Musk’s space lasers /s
Musk is Hugo Drax incarnate. A fascist billionaire with his own fleet of missiles
